Sien holds a Master's Degree in Special Education and a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Bemidji State University in Minnesota, United States. Following the completion of her Master's she worked in a public school in United States with children with special needs and also conducted academic, adaptive and behavior tests for them. She additionally wrote Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for children with varying special needs and provided support to parents and general education teachers. Upon returning to Malaysia in 2009, she worked as a therapist and group instructor in social skill classes for children with autism in Kuala Lumpur. In 2010, she became a consultant and began to supervise and develop curriculums, modify teaching strategies, individualize behavior support plans and provide ongoing training to parents and therapists of children on the autism spectrum. In 2013, she founded SEED Autism Services Malaysia. She also lectures periodically at two local colleges, besides delivering workshops and training at schools, colleges, ABA training centers and non-profit organizations. In 2017, she became a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Introduction to Verbal Behaviour

In behavior analysis, we study behaviors and that includes verbal behavior. Skinner's analysis of verbal behavior provides a conceptual framework in understanding human language. This presentation will review the basic verbal classes and how they have evolved and produced application specifically in language assessment and intervention for children with autism.
